Welcome Bob Noakes to the team!
Bob started his long career in broadcasting when he joined the BBC as an engineer in 1968 and then worked in Ireland 1969-72 as a radio engineer and producer at RTE.
Bob’s offshore radio involvement commenced in 1973 when he joined Radio Caroline as an engineer, later becoming a presenter/Disc-jockey on the station. Bob moved from the Mi Amigo, to join Radio Northsea International in 1974, in a similar position until the close of that station.1975 saw Bob on board the Voice of Peace, once again as an engineer/presenter.
In 1984, Bob published a “standard reference work” titled ‘Last of the Pirates’.
After his offshore radio career, Bob worked primarily as an engineer with frequent radio “appearances” in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and sometimes even the United Kingdom. Bob has been trying to leave the radio business since 1968!
ATLANTIS listeners will be able to hear Bob every weekend between 18:00 and 22:00
